We’re awarding a two-week Residency to the winner of the WASP Award!
The Distributed Design Platform has launched the annual Distributed Design Awards, an esteemed European design competition that recognizes and celebrates exceptional creativity, innovation, and regenerative practices within the design community.
The Distributed Design Awards aims to showcase and honor the remarkable achievements of designers, makers, and creative talents across Europe who are pushing the boundaries of design and embracing the principles of distributed design.
This year, WASP is taking part in the project as an industry expert and sponsor of one of the Awards.
The winner of the WASP Award will be awarded a fully funded two weeks practice-based residency at WASP headquarters in Massa Lombarda (Italy), including flights and accommodation, to be able to develop their project, having access to WASP’s technology and support, receiving mentoring and training from WASP experts to be able to utilize a range of printers available at location.
Winners will have access to the facility to develop their project autonomously. The only requisite is having a basic knowledge of at least one 3D software.
With categories spanning various design disciplines, including product design, architecture, fashion, and digital fabrication, the Distributed Design Awards provide a platform for outstanding projects that embody the ethos of distributed design, emphasizing community engagement, social impact, and environmental sustainability.
Submissions for the Distributed Design Awards are now open, inviting designers, makers, and creatives from all European countries to showcase their innovative projects. A distinguished panel of renowned industry experts and design professionals will evaluate the entries based on criteria such as originality, aesthetics, social impact, and sustainability.
