SHAMBALLA VEGETABLE GARDENS Open-air workshop at WASP’s Technological Village

30 July 2016 / 15:00 - 18:00

At WASP’s Technological Village of Shamballa we are printing with the BigDelta WASP the first adobe house made of terrain and straw. At the same time WASP is starting the first serie of open-air workshops during weekends.

Saturday 30th July the workshop will be focused on “Shamballa Vegetagle Gardens”. The Shamballa Project imagines an ideal city where to build vertical vegetable gardens with low costs consumption and high yield.

The next Saturday, Silvia Pattuelli, Owner at Podere Casetta (Progetto Biologico) of Sant’Agata sul Santerno, will describe a project for urban vegetable gardens. After that she will speack about the Permaculture principles, a sort of applied ecology, an integrated design process for a sustainable, well-balanced and aesthetic environment where entropy tends to zero.

Silvia Patuelli will discuss with us about the future plantations of Shamballa, with particular interesting in saffron. Originally from Asia Minor, the saffron was introduced in Italy by a monk during the fourteenth-century. In the next few years in Emilia Romagna saffron coltivations are increasing, due to agritourisms and agricultural holdings.

The open-air workshop “Shamballa Vegetagle Gardens” will happen saturday 30th July at 15 o’clock, at the WASP Technological Village in Cooperazione road, Massa Lombarda (Ravenna).

We invite all of you to join us.
