IN.TRA.MA – Encounters Between Materials
A journey from traditional earth construction to 3D-printed houses
On March 1st, 2024, at 6:30 PM, WASP will participate as a speaker at the event IN.TRA.MA – Encounters Between Materials, held at the SUPSI Campus in Mendrisio, Switzerland, discussing the theme of raw earth as a building material.
From Central Africa to Lake Geneva, passing through the cradle of Italian manufacturing in Emilia Romagna, the conference will feature three exceptional guests and three processes using the same material:
- Architect Lorenzo Fontana
- Francesca Moretti, CEO of WASP
- Laurent Wurstemberger, co-founder of Terrabloc
IN.TRA.MA is an event organized by the association Traparentesi in partnership with SUPSI – the University of Applied Sciences and Arts of Southern Switzerland and Ikea Foundation Switzerland and with the support of Baubioswiss.
The purpose of the meeting is to stimulate the participation of students, collaborators, alumni, and professionals, fostering educational dialogues and experimentation activities related to different perspectives on the material “raw and fired earth.”
