Z max change (MAX Z SET) LINE 4.0 and later

The procedure for changing the Z max depends on the machine version and firmware.

REMEMBER THAT THIS VALUE IS AUTOMATICALLY SAVED DURING THE SELF-CALIBRATION PROCEDURE, SO IT IS NOT NORMALLY NECESSARY TO CHANGE IT MANUALLY

  1. Clean the build bed and nozzle.
  2. Move the printer to the zero position (autohome)
  3. Use the Prepare –> Modify height (or Set Z max) command

The screen allows you to choose a scale value at the top (between 100 mm, 10 mm, 1 mm, 0.1 mm) and consequently go down or up that value on the Z axis.

  1. With a scale value of 100,  click on the -Z arrow, lowering the nozzle to about 20 cm from the print bed.
  2. Select the scale value at 10 mm
  3. With a scale value of 10,  click on the -Z arrow, lowering the nozzle to about 2 cm from the print bed.
  4. Select the scale value at 1 mm
  5. With a scale value of 1,  click on the -Z arrow, lowering the nozzle to about 2 mm from the print bed.
  6. Select the scale value to 0.1 mm
  7. With  a scale value of 0.1,  click on the -Z arrow, lowering the nozzle until a sheet of paper is placed between it and the table and you feel a slight friction.
  8. Click the SET Z MAX button to save the new value or CANCEL to cancel the operation
