DeCO2 Horizon Europe Project
We’re excited to share that we are one of the partners of the DeCO2 Horizon Europe Project, integrating Technological, Social, and Policy Innovations for Sustainable Renovations in the Built Environment.
DeCO2 envisions a circular and sustainable decarbonised future for the European built environment.
DeCO2’s proposed dynamic framework for renovation is advancing decarbonization through social and policy innovation. A location-based, user-centric portfolio of materials and renovation systems is built to embrace local industrial ecosystems and verticals in a wholesome symbiotic process. DeCO2 digital tools speed up the transition of the construction industry towards decarbonisation through Construction 4.0 enablers and solid and long-lasting partnerships within the legal and regulatory framework addressing the whole value chain for socio-economic innovation.
Multidisciplinary consortium
The consortium comprises 17 organizations from eight different EU member states, forming a diverse and multidisciplinary consortium, bringing together a wide range of expertise and skills to tackle the challenges of decarbonization and circularity in the construction sector.
WASP as technology provider
WASP is the technology provider for 3D printing recycled/excavated materials, optimizing hardware and firmware to improve DeCO2’s processes.
Our expertise in 3D printers for housing using recycled materials supports DeCO2’s goal to integrate building scanning with 3D printing using repurposed materials.
As we advance through the project, we look forward to sharing the results of the next phases!
